I'm done!

Okay, I'm MOSTLY done. I finished my revisions on STRANGER this morning. It came out to 83,000 words and 348 pages. I still have to have DH reread the manuscript and give me his impressions, but I don't plan on making any more drastic changes... I like the book in its current form. I hope to have the manuscript in to my editor sometime this week. Depending on whether she thinks it needs editing or not, it may actually be released on August 6. I doubt it, though-- my editor and a proofer both need to read it, and I doubt they can read that quickly!

    Congrats on finishing the book! That's always an awesome feeling. And I'll keep my fingers crossed that your editor's edits are super minor so you can get your book out on time! *g*

    Thanks, Larissa! Frankly, my editor's edits are ALWAYS super minor, and I'm not sure that's a good thing. I do turn out a good, clean manuscript, but virtually every author's work benefits from serious and extensive editing, IMHO. But I know she's unlikely to do much editing on it, so I make my manuscripts as good as I can before I send them in.
