Baby-inspired writing

The baby woke me up last night with a fierce bout of kicking (it has very firm opinions about the way I should be permitted to sleep and will attack savagely if I sleep in a position it doesn't like). Immediately UNWRAPPED popped into my head and made it impossible for me to sleep. So from one to three a.m. I lay awake and wrote about half of UNWRAPPED... in my head. If only I could get out of bed and write this stuff when it first comes to me, I'd have quite a lot of UNWRAPPED finished by now. But unfortunately my office is in my bedroom, and I can't do that to DH-- he deserves to sleep, even if I can't! So I'll devote this morning to writing down everything I thought of last night.
