Tagged

I've been tagged by Annalee. Here are the rules:

1. Delve into your blog archive.
2. Find your 23rd post (or closest to).
3. Find the fifth sentence (or closest to).
4. Post the text of the sentence in your blog along with these instructions. Ponder it for meaning, subtext or hidden agendas.
5. Tag five people to do the same.

Um, my 23rd post was a while ago:-). Let's see... clear back in July 2004, I said:

"Trying to make the plot hang together without paradoxes is enough to make my brain spin."

I was speaking of Never Love a Stranger, which as a time travel was a major pain in the arse to write. In fact, it was so hard that I also wrote: "I will never...write...a time travel...again...as long...as I live." But I probably will, if for no other reason than JaynieR will kill me if I don't:-). And honestly, I loved writing it, when I wasn't banging my head against the monitor.

But trying to make a plot hang together without gaping holes and major errors is always my toughest chore, in any book. DH spends a lot of time combing through my manuscripts and telling me where the problems are so I can fix them. The paranormal partial I have off to an agent right now is going to be complex, so there will be lots of holes in the plot that will need plugging. Thank heavens I have DH!

Uh... I hate tagging other people. So if you haven't played this yet on your blog, and you want to, consider yourself tagged:-).

In other news, we're setting up an NCP authors group blog. Stay tuned for details. And Ellen Ashe, an NCP author and a lovely person, has joined the blogosphere, too... check out her blog.

  2. I won't kill you if you don't write a time travel, but I'd love to read another one. Or even a straight futuristic without time travel.

Come on, you know you want to. ;)
