Letting things grow

I haven't been writing much the past few weeks. I've been sitting around loafing, which actually means my mind is working busily away sorting out my various projects. (Writers don't ever stop writing, which is sometimes very annoying.) This morning I stepped into the shower half asleep, and stepped out with a vision in my mind of what I need to do with Learning to Fly. I originally envisioned it as a sexy little short story, but it's bigger and better than that. Now I'm seeing it as a sort of serial, or a series of shorts, with a really big plot. On Monday, I'm going to tackle that project and see if I can't get it clear enough on paper that I can submit it to an editor.
