Today I said to the baby, "Where are your toes?" and he pointed right at them. He performed this Amazing and Astounding Feat several times. Clearly a genius in the making:-).
I'm surprised by how well the older boy is coming along, too. He'll be five in May, and he's reading beginning books (like Frog and Toad) with a lot of fluency. Yesterday he read me a Frog and Toad story I'd never read to him, even reading the word "splattered" without blinking. His sisters are awesome readers (the second grader supposedly reads at a sixth-grade level, and the ten-year-old is reading Jane Eyre), but I always thought of the boy as being a little slower. But maybe I'm wrong!
