Spring snow and stuff

Kindred: The Shadows of Night is now available on the Samhain front page.

I trekked over to the local Borders yesterday (and when I say "local," I actually mean "painfully far away, particularly when you have a cranky baby in the backseat"). They had Samhain books! Yay! They look awesome-- very nice typesetting, and the covers reproduced beautifully. I picked up Shannon Stacey's Forever Again and I'm already two-thirds of the way through it. It's an angsty contemporary, and I'm loving it-- it's ripped me right out of the reading slump I've been in, and I've been sneaking it open and reading it every chance I get. Fabulous writing!

And lastly, remember how I posted about how it was spring here? Well, we got a cold snap (along with the rest of the country). This morning DH got up, looked out the window, and said, "Holy crap!" We got two inches of unexpected snow. Those of you in the North may find this perfectly normal, but in this part of Virginia, it virtually never snows this late. The poor daffodils are going to be frozen solid!
