Now the green blade rises

Now the green blade rises from the buried grain,
Wheat that in dark earth many days has lain;
Love lives again, that with the dead has been;
Love is come again like wheat arising green.
-John Crum

This past weekend our spring truly arrived. The leaves are popping open on the trees, and the dogwoods are blooming. I love this time of year. And of course I love dogwoods:-).

Spring is a hectic time of year for our household. I have two kids with spring birthdays, and I'm busy shopping for their presents. I have all four kids home this week because of spring break. And this week I have a lot to do with my choir as well-- I have choir practice Wednesday, I'm playing the cello at the Thursday night service, and then I have to sing with the choir Friday night and Sunday morning. And I've finally gotten confirmation that our family is coming here for Easter, rather than us going to visit the parentals, so I have some serious cleaning to do. And on top of all that, I have a partial manuscript to deliver on April 19th.

I think it's going to be a busy week!

  1. EASTER...I forgot that's almost here.

    Great. I see a mad dash to Wal-Mart in my near future. LOL

  2. The cello? Awesome.

    Sympathies on the house cleaning. Easter dinner is at my house, too. And Daughter #2 is bring the boyfriend along. Perhaps I'll have to buy an extra chocolate bunny.
