I'm a Tiger Woods fan. Tiger won the British Open yesterday, which was great, as his father died back in May and he's only played a couple of tournaments recently. Even better was the way he won it. He played like a Vulcan, the way he always does, emotionless and stoic, putted it in to win, grinned widely... and then collapsed into tears on his caddy's shoulder. Then he sobbed on his wife's shoulder. It was terribly touching. Although I couldn't help but wish they'd take the camera off the poor guy-- men don't usually like crying in public, and they certainly don't enjoy being photographed when they do it. But I suppose if you're Tiger Woods, you can expect them to point the camera at you.
I spotted HelenKay Dimon's Viva Las Bad Boys! in my local Waldenbooks this week. Can't wait to read that one-- I loved her story in When Good Things Happen to Bad Boys.
And finally, I got the Shrek 2 soundtrack yesterday. I mostly bought it for Jennifer Saunders' version of "Holding Out For a Hero"-- I love that song. But I like "Accidentally in Love," too.
Yay! Thank you, thank you, thank you. I still haven't seen the darn thing in a bookstore... so excited.
