Now that I have your attention...

Yes, it's been a while. I know. The unfortunate truth is that Vulcan Husband is gravely ill. I don't really want to get into the details, because they're depressing, but perhaps it's sufficient to say this has not been the best Christmas in Fisher household memory. I'm trying really hard to keep Christmas cheerful for the kids, but it's not easy, because they know Daddy's sick, and... well, it's just a bad time of year to deal with this kind of thing.

Starting in January, I will be rededicating myself to my writing and my self-promotion. It's time to kick my career into a higher gear. I hope my publishers will be happy to see a flood of submissions from me *as my editors run and hide under their desks*. And I'm sort of hoping my readers might be glad to see more stuff from me, too:-).

  1. I was really hoping you planned to hit the writing hard, although I wasn't going to bring it up when you had so much to deal with, lest you feel like the proverbial last straw had just been loaded on your back.

When times are difficult, writing can save your sanity.

I agree with Charlene. Writing can sometimes give you a much needed outlet.

If you need me, I'm a phone call away.

  13. Writing is so therapeutic, Ellen. It’s helped me through some very dark times. I’m so sorry for your distress now and can only imagine how difficult it is to keep a festive mood for the kids. You, your husband and your children continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. May God bless you and give you strength.

  14. Ellen, I'm so sorry about your husband. I've been coming by here every few days, waiting to see you appear again. This can't be an easy time for you, but enjoy the holiday with your family as much as you can.
