Kid #2 turned nine today. It was our first major event without Daddy. I took the kids out for dinner, and it was generally nice and upbeat. There was some discussion about how nice it would be to have Daddy there, but no real upset. My kids are handling this very well. It's really quite amazing how durable kids are, I think.
Oh, that we had what they (children) have in times like these. Many, many positive thoughts are with all of you.
