Eulogy

The local paper puts obituaries onto the web and provides a guest book, where people can leave thoughts about the deceased. This is nice, because it's allowed old co-workers and friends of VH to leave notes, and it's wonderful to see that people remember him fondly, even from a decade ago.

Today I checked the guest book to see if anyone had left a note recently. The most recent entry is from my oldest daughter. I wasn't aware she'd posted anything, as she didn't mention it to me--presumably she wrote it at school. Her note was simple:

This is a sad thing.:( Bye Dad.

  1. Sometimes our children do things that simply blow us a way. Usually when we least expect it. I'm so glad to see you back! I missed reading your comments.

  2. Ellen, hugs and prayers to you and your family. You have been in my daily thoughts.

Your daughter summed it up, it is very sad, and it brought a tear to my eye.

Please email me if you need anything!

    Blessings my friend
