Getting back to things

I'm slowly getting back into my routines. Last night I went to choir practice for the first time since VH died. It's a small thing, but it's comforting to do the things you're used to doing. And I like to sing. Singing with the radio along with the car doesn't quite cut it somehow.

I notice everyone's heading off to RT. I've been so out of touch I had no idea RT was coming up. I was supposed to go to EPICon, which was in Virginia this year, but sadly that wound up being the same weekend VH passed away. I really would like to go to a writing conference one of these days, though.

I have an email out to an editor asking about that book I have under contract again. I'm really having a hard time getting this particular publisher to respond, but I keep trying. That book (a short novella) is probably my best shot at getting a title out there this year, so I really would like to get working on it. But I want some actual response from the publisher first!

  1. Dear God, I hope it's not me you're trying to get a hold of because I haven't gotten any emails from you! If it is me, I'm not ignoring you, I swear.

It's good to see you posting again, Ellen!

  2. No. It's not you:-). And I haven't forgotten I owe you something, too... I'm working on that as well.
