Fireworks

Last night we went to the County Fairgrounds to see the fireworks, just as we always do. Before the show, my three-year-old son was desperately excited and kept running around saying, "BOOM! Fireworks say BOOM!" The minute the BOOMS actually started, however, he was dismayed by the noise, and his chin started to quiver. But DH scooped him up and held him in his lap, and he relaxed and began to enjoy the show. In fact, he exulted in it by clapping and yelling "HURRAY!" every time a firework went off. Three-year-olds have a great time wherever they go... it's a fun age!
