There's a new Brava contest going on via Lori Foster's website. For those of you that don't know about this contest, you can enter a small (750 words) excerpt from a novella or full-length novel. It will be judged by one of ten Brava authors, then by Lori, and finally by Kate Duffy, editor at Kensington. The odds of writing something that will please that many readers in a row are small, but I'm entering an excerpt from my romantic comedy novella, IN THE MOOD, anyway.
DH read the excerpt last night and liked it. I also asked a writer friend to read it, and she said it made her laugh and spit coffee all over her keyboard. There is no higher compliment to an author of romantic comedy:-). So I'll go ahead and send it in. You never know!
