Promotion

It would be nice if all a writer did was write. I think we'd all get a lot more done that way! But all authors have to promote their work to their audience. And an e-published author has to work extra hard at getting her name out where readers can see it-- and, hopefully, remember it.



Rather than revising STRANGER this morning, then, I'm working on my newsletter (which goes out at the beginning of every month to seventy subscribers) and finishing up an interview that I received last week. Interviews are a great free way to get your name on various websites, and I love doing them, but they do take quite a bit of time-- I write and rewrite my answers until I'm certain I've said exactly what I meant to say. I sincerely hope I never have to do a verbal interview... I am not a verbal person. I have an unfortunate tendency to stammer and say stupid things. In fact, I suppose that's why I became a writer!
