A find at the UBS!

I love Michael Whelan, the fantasy/sci fi artist. Long ago, when I was in college, he put out a coffee-table type book called MICHAEL WHELAN'S WORKS OF WONDER, with many of his best covers in it. Alas, I was a poor college student, and it cost a bloody fortune (I think upward of forty dollars) which I couldn't justify spending. It's been out of print for a long time.

Today I went to my favorite used bookstore, and there was the Michael Whelan book in the window. I grabbed it and bought it (fourteen dollars plus some trade-in books) and brought it home. All the Edgar Rice Burroughs Barsoom covers, all the Piers Anthony Incarnations of Immortality covers, a number of Isaac Asimov and Robert A. Heinlein covers... well. I am a happy girl. I think I'll just sit here and stare at it for the rest of the afternoon:-).

I did get several pages of UNWRAPPED done yesterday afternoon, by the way, and I will attempt to get a few more done today... probably with the Whelan book propped open on my lap, LOL.
