I, Robot

I don't watch many movies (other than Pixar and Harry Potter), but last night I rented I, ROBOT and watched it with DH. Those of you who have read a certain one of my books probably realize that I have a real thing for robots. I also have a thing for Will Smith. I've always thought he was cute, but I didn't realize he was so buff. Verrrry nice pecs. Hubba hubba8-0.

But ahem. I digress. I, ROBOT wasn't a bad movie, although not a classic by any stretch of the imagination, either. I enjoyed it quite a bit (so did DH, who loves action movies-- blow up a few cars and he's a happy camper). It didn't bear much resemblance to its source material, and it didn't really delve into any deep issues regarding artificial intelligence, but it brushed them lightly. Overall it did a pretty good job of balancing summer blockbuster action with philosophy lite, I thought. I liked it, and it was well worth the $2.25 I spent.

And did I mention Will Smith has really nice pecs??

  1. I'm a blow 'em up, bang 'em, blockbuster movie fan too. They're actually the only movies I like to watch.
