The other day Paperback Writer blogged about "blog shopping," buying books by authors you know of because you read their blog. It's interesting that she coined that phrase, because today I bought a book by, you guessed it, PBW (in one of her many incarnations). Specifically, I bought If Angels Burn by Lynn Viehl. The cover (which reminds me vaguely of Sherrilyn Kenyon's covers, now that I think of it) has intrigued me, so I finally decided to buy it.
I got a chance to read a few pages in the car when the baby demanded I put my shopping on hold for a few minutes and provide him with a snack (your wish is my command, my liege:-), and so far it's very gripping. Definitely dark (the heroine is a reconstructive surgeon, and some of the descriptions of her patients are quite disturbing) but fascinating. I have to confess I don't usually read vampire romances, but this looks like it'll be a terrific exception to the rule!
This is on the way to me, and I can't wait to read it. Btw, congrats on all your page writing! :) Deidre
ReplyDeleteYours is the second blog I've visited tonight that talked about this book. *marking it down on my TBR list*
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Ooh, let me know how it is! I've got it on my wish list for my next Amazon purchase!
ReplyDeleteLately, all of my book purchases have been c/o bloghopping. Including the book you're talking about ;)
ReplyDeleteHi everyone here,
ReplyDeleteI have started a new shopping portal - www.topestore.com where I have made my all endeavors to keep the prices highly competitive & a stores directory namely www.safeshoppe.com. I would thank the community here for their suggestion/advices. Please do not consider this a spam.
