Writing again

As I said below, I got a nice response from an agent who said the premise of my "proposal for a proposal" might be a little too similar to another book she represents (though she was still willing to take a look at it). She also kindly suggested that it's easier to break into New York with paranormal romance than with futuristic. I came up with a twist on my idea today that let me keep what I've done so far, but which turns this story more into a paranormal than a futuristic. It also moves it further away from the other author's premise, thus hopefully making it more palatable to this particular agent. I'm cranking along now-- I've written about eleven pages. It needs a lot more detail, but it's a good start!
