Busy morning

I had a very busy morning. We packed the kids into the car at 7:30 and cruised over to church (a thirty-minute trip). My choir ran through the week's hymn, and I joined them, even though I'm not actively part of the choir right now because I can't practice on Wednesday nights (I exclusively breastfeed, which ties me down a lot). But I happened to know this hymn, so I was happy to join in. I was the cantor for the week, so I ran through that part of the service with the organist. (Since I haven't sung much for a while, I was a little nervous about singing unaccompanied in front of a couple hundred people, but as it turned out I actually did pretty well.) The service followed, then we waited around while the kids went to Sunday school. Then we dropped by Sam's to do the weekly shopping and ran home to change, then we went BACK to church for a picnic. Now we're finally back for good, the kids are running around the backyard, and DH is devoting the rest of the afternoon to religion... worshiping at the Holy Temple of the Redskins in the living room.

And me? I think I'm going to relax for the rest of the day and get back to writing tomorrow:-).
