Worrywart

When you're a mom, you worry when your kids get sick. When you're a daughter, you worry when your parents get sick. My dad, who'll be eighty-nine next month, called today, sounding very hoarse. He's evidently had a cold for several days. He went to the doctor, who assured him it's just a cold. But he never gets sick, so I'm stressing a bit. Besides, it's probably our fault he's ill, considering my four little germ factories just visited a week and a half ago. So now I'm worrying about him. A cold isn't a big deal for most of us, but for old people it can be a problem. Anyway, I'll call him tomorrow and check on him again.

I know... I worry too much. But probably better to worry too much than too little:-).
