Stephen King...

talks about why ebooks aren't scary, though he finds them to be a bit more "ephemeral." In passing, he mentions he's made $80,000 off Ur (his Kindle-only book).

  1. I'm not surprised that Stephen King thinks $80K is a tiny drop in a tanker compared to his other funds. What I do wonder though is what would happen if he released a full length ebook.

I do think it's cool that half of all his reading is now done on ebook.

  2. I guess $80K isn't much for him, although if it only represents three days work, I do kinda wonder why he doesn't toss off a novella every month or so, and make a tiny bit of extra cash that way *g*. I guess he's happy with his publishers, though.
