Sometimes it's a real pain living in the South. We close our schools at the drop of a snowflake here. The kids were already out of school one day earlier in the week, because we got two or three inches of snow. This morning there is a two-hour delay in the schools' opening. Why? Because there's a little (a very little) freezing rain mixed in with the rain that's falling.
Sigh. I was really looking forward to today as a writing day, since Kid #3 doesn't go to school today-- I figured I'd kick the kids out the door, sit down, and start typing. But maybe not. Now getting them ready for school will take up half my morning. Darn it.
Same in the Seattle area. We're just not prepared for snow. Hopefully you'll have a productive afternoon! - Charlene
